I've been a hairstylist since 2012, and started my first salon business in a salon space in Grayslake 2 years after that. It was called Kreative Beauty Salon.
As I kept growing behind the chair and as a person owning a business, I knew I wanted to create my own salon that i truly loved. So in early 2022, Mindful Roots was born!
But wouldn't ya know it, timing is everything and I got pregnant shortly after buying the property. There was a complete demo + remodel on the house and we didn't open officially till October 2022. Three months later I had my first little girl.
Fast forward to now, 2026, I'm a full time mama and I take care of the salon every week. I have four chairs, four hairstylists who keep mindful roots running.

We have FOUR hair artists at MIndful Roots, who run their businesses separately but they coincide together so seamlessly. Everyone provide a level of care like no other and pride themselves in showing you the best in color and haircutting.
Every small business housed under Mindful Roots is a hard working woman, and I'm so proud that I opened a place where we can all get along, even with all our different ages and backgrounds.
